Local Tanzanian Gold Miner's Fund - Peter & Abdul
Last year, my husband and I took a trip down to the southern part of Tanzania, specifically to the gold mines in the Ruangwa district of Lindi. Along with our tours of the mines, we were able to snag an interview with two local miners, Peter and Abdul. They detailed the daily hardships that they face as local, small- scale miners, and how they are seeking investors to partner with to become more efficient, self- sustaining, and able to hold their own against larger mining companies with more advanced equipment.
